Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), is an imaging procedure that uses magnetic field and radio waves to produce a highly accurate anatomic image. It is painless and extremely safe because no radiation is used. The MRI's at United are a high strength machine offering quick scans that reduce significantly, if not completely eliminates claustrophobia. The high field strength provides clearer pictures than with open MRI units. The images are used by physicians to help in diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of diseases and injuries.
Ultrasound provides a safe and effective way to look inside the body. It is used for examining internal organs and diagnosing disease, and is perhaps best known for monitoring fetal development. We provide a full compliment of ultrasound exams including abdominal, small parts, obstetrics and vascular studies including stress PVR's. All exams are performed according to ACR standards with Registered Sonographers.
