Stereotactic Mammography Biopsy

Sterotactic Breast Biopsy is a new, accurate way to diagnose early stage cancer and provides women with an alternative to open surgical breast biopsy. Unlike traditional open surgical biopsy, which requires a large skin incision, and core needle biopsy, which requires multiple insertions of a needle into the breast, the stereotactic procedure requires only one insertion and minimizes the removal of healthy tissue.
